Service
Engineer for Machine Tools
We presently
have a position open for a Field Service Engineer to be
based in the Kansas City area.
Field
Service Engineers are responsible for the installation of
new and used machine tools such as Machining Centers, Turning
Centers, EDM Machines, etc. Other duties include the trouble
shooting and repair of electrical and mechanical devices
and performing routine preventive maintenance. Service engineers
encompass the ability to maintain professional conduct when
dealing with customers, peers, builder representatives and
suppliers.
The
ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience and must
have great working knowledge of the following:

- Fanuc
and Mitusbishi CNC controls.
- Servo
drive motors, encoders and amplifiers.
- Spindle
drive motors, encoders, amplifiers and orientation sensing
devices.
- Spindle
removal, repair and replacement.
- Ballscrew
and bearing replacement.
- Tool
changer and Turret repair.
- PLC
interface trouble shooting.
- 3 Phase
motors, contactors and control circuits.
- Low
voltage control circuits.
- Pneumatic
and Hydraulic control circuits.
- Machine
leveling and testing for square, parallel and lost motion.

Physical
demands: continuous; bending, stooping, standing, climbing,
step stool climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., lifting greater
than 50.lbs. with assistance, pushing and pulling.
A Valid
Drivers License and good driving record are required.
